Cristina was born and raised in Medellin, Colombia. She attended college at the University of La Salle where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Engineering. While she enjoyed working in the field of science and engineering, Cristina had a life long passion for interior design. She moved to the United States in 1999 and attended Stratford University in Washington, DC where she became a Certified Interior Designer. Another passion of Cristina’s is fitness. She is a Mad Dogg Certified Spinning Instructor and as an International Fitness Association Personal Trainer.
Cristina loves the outdoors and always knew that one day she would move to the Keys. In 2011 she married local attorney, Richard Malafy and moved to Marathon. The couple currently resides on Key Colony Beach. Having achieved her dream of moving to the Keys Cristina desired to help others achieve theirs. In 2013 Cristina became a Florida licensed real estate agent and is now part of the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServises Keys Real Estate team. Cristina’s diverse background and love for all things Florida Keys make for an enthusiastic agent eager to get the job done.
Cristina is active in the community. She leads charity bike events for the animal shelter. She also loves to fish. There are not many fishing tournaments that you will not see her entered as an angler.
