Biography

Thirty years of full time real estate sales has given me the opportunity to combine an advanced degree in the real estate industry with practical hands on experience in all aspects of the Key West and the Florida Keys real state market. I have handled sales in single family homes, multiple family dwellings, vacation second homes, guesthouse properties and the full range of commercial sales, development and leasing. A successful investment in property has as much to do with a Buyer having the advantage of a full knowledge of the market as it does with negotiating the right deal. I offer my considerable background and experience in both areas in your property purchase or sales decision.

Specialization

One of the most appealing attributes of the Key West real estate market is the investment opportunities available through the town's unique mixed use zoning. This is particularly applicable within the Island's large Historic District where retail, resort & hospitality use is allowed along with residential. I have the expertise and vast experience in identifying these high value commercial - investment properties and finding vehicles to further develop the income stream of these properties, thereby increasing overall value. Vacation Income generating property is an additional area of expertise encompassing guesthouse, resort and restaurant properties.

1976 Graduate from the University of Florida at Gainesville. Degree in Business Administration/ Major in Real Estate Investments.

Community Involvement

Served on the Key West Bight Management District Board from 1993 to January of 2008. Sitting as Chairman since 2002. This is a City Commission appointed Board charged with the hands on oversight, management and development of the (8) acre Historic Seaport Property purchased by the City of Key West in 1993. This was a partially blighted property that over the years, has been developed into a thriving mixed use property with retail & restaurants, commercial marina and recently developed Ferry Terminal. The Board is additionally charged with the development and oversight of the approximate $10 million budget.
